Fun Diving in Kushimoto with Two Teams Today!
After many days of rain, we finally had some sunshine again today!
We went fun diving with guests who joined us yesterday and some new guests who arrived today.
By coincidence, all of our international guests were from Germany, so they quickly became friends and had a great time together (^^)
Our guests who joined the refresher dive yesterday were also much more comfortable underwater today and even had enough confidence to enjoy taking videos during the dives.
Visibility was still recovering from yesterday’s swell, so we focused mainly on macro diving today.
And once again, we found plenty of nudibranchs♪
First, we found an Goniobranchus kuniei laying eggs!!
After making it through the rough conditions, this little nudibranch was busy creating the next generation.
This year, we have been seeing Goniobranchus kuniei much more often!! Its beautiful colors make it a very popular nudibranch (^^)
After that, we gradually moved on to smaller and smaller creatures and showed our guests some truly Japanese-sized macro life（笑）
Just like Goniobranchus kuniei, we have also been seeing many Sagaminopteron psychedelicum this year.
They have been growing steadily, and we are now seeing more individuals just under 1 cm in size. It definitely makes them easier to spot!
Once everyone’s eyes had adjusted to looking for tiny creatures, we finished by showing them a Murphydoris sp. 4 measuring around 2 mm.
It seemed to make quite an impression on today’s guests, and we got a great reaction (^^)
On a later dive, we also found a spot where around five of them were gathered together. We are looking forward to seeing more and more of them in the coming weeks.
For the final boat trip, we enjoyed the third fun dive of the day one-on-one♪
We went to see a juvenile Ribbon eel that K-san from Seaman's had told us about.
It was incredibly small and looked almost exactly like a tiny branch・・・(^^;)
But if you look closely, it has such cute little eyes.
September has already come to an end.
Starting tomorrow, it will be October, and our diving schedule will change!!
On weekdays, our boat departure times will be 8:00, 10:00, and 13:30. On weekends, they will be 7:15 or 7:30, 9:45, and 13:30.
The starting times for Discover Scuba Diving will also be different from our summer schedule, so please make sure to check the schedule when making your reservation.
We still have plenty of availability on weekdays in the second half of October.
For some reason, we have already been receiving more inquiries for November, but we are still accepting diving reservations for October as well!
