After quite a while, the sun finally came out and we had a sunny day here in Kushimoto.

We had a little rain in the afternoon, but overall, it was a beautiful day and great weather for diving.

Today, we split into two teams: a fun diving team and a discover scuba diving team.

Thanks to everyone, we were fully booked even though it was a weekday!! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us!!

The water temperature is staying in the 26°C range, and the conditions are still good.

Since the beginning of September, the variety of fish we can see has been increasing more and more.

Today, we found a Glass goby in a beautiful spot.

It was sitting on a Red sea fan, making it a perfect situation with a beautiful background.

However, it is in midwater, so good buoyancy control is essential when taking photos!! This subject would definitely look amazing when photographed with a DSLR.

Next was the elusive juvenile warty frogfish.

Today, it had moved quite far from where we saw it last time...!

Where will it be tomorrow...? It is always a tough one to find, and every time we search for it, we get excited wondering whether we will find it or not.

And here is today's biggest highlight!!

A 1 cm Thornback cowfish.

It looked like a tiny dice and was so cute! (^^) We can only see them at this size during a limited time of the year.

If you get to see one during this special season, you are lucky!!

Finally, we also introduced some of the nudibranch that have been doing really well lately.

When it comes to nudibranch, tiny ones are always fun to find. Today, we introduced a 1 mm Colpodaspis thompsoni.

If you get the focus just right, you can even capture its cute little eyes.

We also found Bornella anguilla, Goniobranchus albonares, and more. The more we search for nudibranchs, the more different species we find.

Recently, we have also been seeing more nudibranchs around 1 cm in size, making them a little easier on the eyes♪

Our “nudibranchs Safari” is also scheduled to start in November!!

Hopefully, we will continue to see plenty of nudibranchs from November onward!

The waters of Kushimoto are also becoming increasingly full of fish. One of the great things about diving in Kushimoto is the wide variety of marine life, from southern species to tiny nudibranchs.

September 17 Update | Outlook for Typhoon No. 25

Typhoon No. 25 formed this morning.

According to the forecast as of this evening, the typhoon is expected to move farther southeast than initially forecast. At this time, we expect to be able to operate diving activities during Silver Week.

However, on September 20 and 21, large swells may reach the Kushimoto area depending on the strength of the typhoon.

We will continue to monitor the latest weather information. If poor sea conditions are expected, we will contact our guests by the evening of the previous day.
