No Typhoon Impact in Kushimoto Yet!
Today was another partly cloudy day with some sunshine here in Kushimoto.
It was a little warmer than yesterday, making it a comfortable day for fun diving♪
We started the morning with fun diving at one of the offshore dive sites.
Visibility in the offshore area has been good since yesterday, reaching around 15m.
At a dive site we hadn't visited for a while, we found an Leopard anemone shrimp.
It was sitting on a beautiful Nemanthus sp, making it a great subject for photos.
The spot is a little deep, so it's easy to take photos with a nice black background (^^)
From the second dive, we moved to the bay-area dive sites.
Visibility in the bay area was around 10m. The water has been a little cloudy, but the water temperature remains warm at around 26°C.
The bay-area dive sites are home to many southern species, and today we were able to see a Ornate butterflyfish!!
Seeing a southern species grow to this size may be a sign that the Kuroshio Current is close to Kushimoto!!
From now on, these fish will continue to grow and become easier to find. We can't wait~~!
It's not only the southern species. There are still plenty of nudibranchs too!!
We're seeing nudibranchs even while simply swimming around the dive sites.
Today, we found a tiny Eubranchus sp.10 measuring around 2mm!!
For our final dive, we headed to Kushimoto's original Tomato grouper reef.
There are many cleaning shrimp here, so you may even get a chance to photograph an Tomato grouper with its mouth wide open.
From tomorrow, we'll be diving while keeping an eye on the effects of the typhoon...
There is now a slightly higher possibility that we may have to close on the 21st...
Hopefully we'll still be able to dive during Silver Week（＞＜）
This typhoon is moving quickly, so the impact may be limited.
The high season in Kushimoto will continue even after Silver Week.
