Boat Fun Diving & Discover Scuba Diving in Kushimoto – More International Guests Are Visiting Us!

Another Great Day of Fun Diving & Discover Scuba Diving in Kushimoto

We had another beautiful day in Kushimoto, perfect for diving!

At the boat diving sites, the water temperature was 27.7°C with 15 m visibility.
At the beach, visibility was also good at around 10 m, with a warm water temperature of 28.8°C.

Even after the Obon holiday period, we are still enjoying very comfortable diving conditions.

This morning, we split into two teams and enjoyed both fun diving and Discover Scuba Diving in Kushimoto.

Our fun diving team headed out to the boat diving sites with a guest from Australia.

We started by enjoying the impressive schools of fish around Kushimoto.

There are currently many different kinds of schooling fish around our local dive sites. One of them is a school of Yellow goatfish.

They look yellow underwater, but apparently they look red when brought out of the water, which is where their Japanese name comes from.

Since our guest was doing just one dive today, we also made sure to show plenty of macro life.

We are still finding many nudibranchs even in summer this year.

The first one we found was Verconia subnivalis.

It was so tiny that after we returned to the boat, our guest asked, “What was that?” haha.

We also found Goniobranchus setoensis and several other small colorful nudibranchs.

If we are already seeing this many in summer, I wonder if we will find even more from autumn onward??

We are looking forward to finding out♪

Between searching for macro life, we also encountered a Green sea turtle swimming by.

It was a fun dive where we could enjoy everything from wide-angle scenes to tiny macro life! (^^)

After the fun dive, we headed to the beach with two Discover Scuba Diving teams.

Sayo’s team was a group of four sporty guests.

They finished their practice in no time and were soon swimming around underwater just like certified divers!

For my team, the girlfriend of our fun diving guest joined us for her first scuba diving experience.

At first, she had some difficulty equalizing her ears and needed a little time to get comfortable.

But by the end of the dive, she was relaxed enough to swim gracefully in midwater and seemed to really enjoy her first diving experience!

Since the end of the Obon holiday period, we have also been receiving more inquiries from international travelers visiting Japan.

Tomorrow, we will be heading out for Discover Scuba Diving with another guest from overseas.

We will do our best to help them enjoy the beautiful underwater world of Kushimoto!

We are also grateful to be receiving more inquiries for September, October, and November.

September and October are great months for diving in Kushimoto, and from November, our Nudibranch Safari and Free Drysuit Rental Campaign will begin!

In recent years, the warm weather has tended to continue longer, so we sometimes still have relatively warm days even in late November.

The diving season in Kushimoto is far from over, so come and enjoy the ocean with us!
