A Full Day of Discover Scuba Diving During the Summer Holidays
The second half of the Obon holiday period started today.
The second part of the holiday rush will continue through Sunday.
Today was a full day of Discover Scuba Diving!
Two of our staff members took our guests into the waters of Kushimoto for their very first diving experiences.
Everyone who joined us today did really well.
They quickly got used to being underwater and picked up the diving skills so quickly that it was hard to believe it was their first time!
They were so comfortable underwater that we almost wondered if they were already certified divers?!
We hope they will get their diving licenses someday and discover even more of the underwater world! (^^)
The tiny young Anemonefish have also been growing little by little and are getting easier to spot!!

Discover Scuba Diving for Families During the Summer Holidays
We had many families visiting us today, which really made it feel like the summer holidays.
At our dive shop, Discover Scuba Diving is available from the age of 10.
We also have lighter tanks available for younger children, so if you are thinking about trying scuba diving during the summer holidays, please feel free to contact us.
During our final Discover Scuba Diving session, we also spent a little time looking for nudibranchs.
And we found a Sagaminopteron psychedelicum!!
It is a rare species that we do not often see even at our boat diving sites, so we were probably even more excited than our guests! (^^;)
The individual we found was about 5 mm in size, making it relatively easy to spot.
Even with the warm water temperatures, there are still some nudibranchs around!!
There are only a few days left of the Obon holiday period, but the water remains warm after Obon and through October, making it a great time to enjoy Discover Scuba Diving!!
Some people may be taking their summer holidays a little later, so if you are visiting Kushimoto during your summer vacation, we hope you will consider diving with us.
