A Great Day for Diving with Two Dive Teams
Today started with cloudy skies, but the rain held off through the morning, and the sea stayed calm all day in Kushimoto.
We welcomed two groups today. One team enjoyed fun diving, while the other completed their Open Water Diver course. With two instructors now available at Aqua Vista Kushimoto, we can offer more diving experiences on the same day and welcome more guests throughout the summer.
For our fun diving team, one of today’s highlights was finding a new Jawfish after the previous one disappeared following the recent typhoon. It was a great surprise, and we hope to watch it become more comfortable with divers over the coming weeks.
We also found plenty of fascinating macro life during the dives. A tiny Peacock Mantisshrimp, only about the size of a finger, showed beautiful soft colors. Juvenile Neosynchiropus morrisoni and young Lissoporcellana nakasonei also made today’s dives especially enjoyable for underwater photographers.
One of our favorite residents, the Harlequin Shrimp, safely survived the rough seas and was still in its usual area.
As summer continues, more juvenile fish and small marine creatures are appearing around Kushimoto, making this one of the best seasons for macro diving.
Tomorrow will be another busy day with discover scuba diving, fun diving, and diver training. Summer has officially arrived, and we’re looking forward to sharing Kushimoto’s underwater world with even more divers.
If you’re planning to visit Japan in July or August, we’d love to dive with you. Feel free to contact us anytime to check availability.
We hope to see you in Kushimoto!
