Enjoying Kushimoto’s Ocean with International Guests
Yesterday’s rough sea felt like a distant memory. Today, the ocean in Kushimoto was calm again, providing perfect conditions for both fun diving and snorkeling.
We spent the day exploring both the underwater world and the beautiful surface of Kushimoto’s coral reef area with our guests from Denmark and Norway.
Snorkeling Over Kushimoto’s Coral Reefs
Although we were a little concerned about the visibility after yesterday’s rough weather, the water turned out to be much clearer than expected.
Our snorkeling guests enjoyed swimming above Kushimoto’s coral reefs, one of the area’s highlights.
It was wonderful to see a family enjoying the experience together. They stayed close to each other throughout the tour and always seemed to discover things at the same time. Watching them enjoy the ocean made the trip even more enjoyable for us.
As summer gets into full swing, we’re looking forward to welcoming even more snorkeling guests to Kushimoto.
First Diving Experience in Japan
Before and after the snorkeling tour, we also guided a certified diver on two boat dives.
It was their very first time diving in Japan, so we introduced them to what makes Kushimoto such a special destination.
Our first stop included one of Kushimoto’s famous residents—the friendly Tengu-dai(Banded boarfish). They stayed incredibly close, giving us plenty of time to enjoy watching and photographing them.
At the beginning of the second dive, our guest asked,
“Any nudibranchs?”
Of course!
We spent the dive searching for nudibranchs, and one of the highlights was the Bornella anguilla Watching it swim through the water made a lasting impression on our guest.
Summer Diving Season Has Arrived
The water temperature is now approaching 25°C, and the summer diving season in Kushimoto has truly begun.
We’re happy to welcome divers and snorkelers from around the world, and every day brings new opportunities to meet people from different countries while sharing the beauty of Kushimoto’s ocean.
