Introductory Diving Experience in Kushimoto with Guests from Canada
Today we welcomed two guests from Canada for an introductory scuba diving experience in Kushimoto.
After several days of rough ocean conditions, the sea finally became calm again. The weather and water conditions were perfect for beginner divers.
Like many first-time divers, our guests felt a little nervous before entering the water. We started with a slow and relaxed practice session in shallow water, allowing them to get comfortable with breathing underwater and using the equipment.
As their confidence grew, they began exploring the underwater world on their own. By the end of the dive, they were looking for fish, observing marine life, and fully enjoying the experience.
Many visitors are surprised by the amount of marine life that can be seen during a beach dive in Kushimoto. Even in shallow water, divers can encounter a wide variety of fish and underwater creatures.
Recently, we have been seeing more baby Painted Sweetlips around our beach diving site. Their gentle swimming movements make them particularly enjoyable to watch.

This was the guests’ first trip to Japan, and we hope their diving experience in Kushimoto will become one of their favorite memories from their journey.
If you are planning a trip to Japan and would like to try scuba diving for the first time, Kushimoto is a great place to start. No diving license is required for our introductory diving program.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kushimoto’s underwater world.
