Fun Diving in Two Small Groups Today!!
We had westerly winds again in Kushimoto today.
But when we jumped into the water for our first dive, we were surprised to find visibility of over 20 meters!!
The surface was a little rough, but once underwater, the conditions were fantastic♪
Since the sea was a little rough today, we split into two small groups and enjoyed fun diving in Kushimoto.
During our first dive of the morning, we found another new juvenile bicolour parrotfish!!
And apparently, another individual was found later!!
We are seeing so many juvenile bicolour parrotfish this year.
Another species that seems especially abundant right now is Sagaminopteron psychedelicum.
We found both at the same dive site.
Maybe this is a spot where Sagaminopteron psychedelicum have drifted in and gathered together.
I don't remember seeing many of them during the summer, but maybe I just wasn't looking carefully enough!
We have seen so many nudibranchs this summer, and our guests who love nudibranchs have been really enjoying the diving.

We have been talking about the increasing number of juvenile fish over the past few days, and there were plenty again today.
We found an Gobiodon prolixus hiding between the coral branches.
It is a beautiful goby with delicate colors.
Getting the light into the right position can be challenging, which makes it a fun subject for underwater photography. (^^)
We are also seeing many other creatures that live around coral, including Red Head Coral Goby and Pseudocryptochirus viridis!!
When you see coral, take a closer look between the branches and in the small gaps.
You might find all kinds of creatures hiding inside!!
Westerly winds are forecast again tomorrow...
We were planning to split into an offshore team and a local dive-site team, but we'll have to make a decision about the offshore dives depending on the sea conditions.
There are only two days left in August, but the diving season in Kushimoto is far from over!!!
The water temperature is still around 29°C, and the sea is warm and full of fish.
