Discover Scuba Diving with Families and International Guests
The day started with cloudy skies and cooler weather in Kushimoto, but the sun came out in the afternoon, bringing back the feeling of summer.
Today, the swell from Typhoon No. 13 began reaching Kushimoto.
Although the waves were building, our beach dive site remained calmer than expected, and we were able to safely conduct our Discover Scuba Diving programs.
Today’s beach conditions offered visibility of approximately 2–5 meters and a water temperature of 27.2°C.
Visibility varied depending on the location, but the conditions were suitable for enjoying Discover Scuba Diving.
Today, we welcomed a family from Osaka and a group of guests from Vietnam.
The family had spent the previous day enjoying the Kozagawa River, and they were delighted when we told them we would still be able to dive in the ocean.
There was some underwater surge in certain areas, but everyone enjoyed exploring the underwater world while observing Anemonefish, Neon Damselfish, and Red Lion fish.
We also found an area with better visibility where we took a group photo together.
Seeing everyone’s smiles, even through their masks, always makes us happy.
We hope their Discover Scuba Diving experience in Kushimoto becomes one of the best memories of their summer holiday.
Since the beginning of August, we have been receiving many inquiries about Discover Scuba Diving from both visitors within Japan and international travelers.
There is nothing more rewarding for us than hearing first-time divers say, “I want to dive again.”
In Kushimoto, you can comfortably enjoy Discover Scuba Diving in a wetsuit until around October.

Diving Update Regarding Typhoon No. 13
The swell from Typhoon No. 13 reached Kushimoto today and gradually increased throughout the afternoon.
Based on the current sea conditions, we expect visibility to decrease further and underwater surge to become stronger over the coming days.
For the safety of our guests, we have decided to cancel all boat dives and beach dives from August 5 to August 8.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who had reservations during this period and greatly appreciate your understanding.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Kushimoto once the sea conditions improve.
