Perfect Conditions for Blenny Photography!
We have resumed our operations today after a short spring break from the end of March until yesterday. During the break, the weather was unfortunately very rough, with strong winds and heavy conditions.
Today, the ocean is still a bit affected by the recent storm. So instead of regular diving, we headed to the tide pools, taking advantage of the good tidal conditions.
Tide pool diving is surprisingly comfortable this season. With a light inner layer and a shell dry suit, it feels warm and easy to stay in the water for a long time.
We were happy to quickly find a familiar face — Barred-chin blenny that we had seen before.
And today, we also discovered a new individual in a different location, resting beautifully against a green background.

These small fish have adorable expressions, and the environment makes photography very enjoyable. The depth is only around 30 cm, so no tank is needed. You can spend as much time as you like focusing on photography.
Even when the sea is rough, tide pools are a great alternative if the tidal conditions are right.
We will have good tidal conditions through the weekend, so there are still plenty of chances to enjoy this unique experience.
We are also organizing a special Barred-chin blenny photography session on selected dates.
Spaces are limited, so please contact us early if you are interested.
April 19th is already confirmed, and we are accepting bookings.
We also offer English-guided fun diving.
We look forward to welcoming more international divers this season in Kushimoto.
