Mission Complete Successfully !!

Today was our “Nudibranch Safari” day in Kushimoto.

The swell that had been bothering us finally settled down, and we had great diving conditions.

Today’s guest had a special request — Mexichromis aurora.

This request was actually made 7 months ago.

And it has already been 2 months since we found a good individual that shows its full body.

So today, we really wanted to make it happen.

With a bit of nervous excitement, we went for two dives in the Kushimoto area…

And finally — we made it!!

We were able to show Mexichromis aurora successfully 😊

What a relief…!

After the dive, I felt so happy and thankful.

Thank you for staying there and showing yourself so well!

After lunch, we continued with more nudibranch hunting.

We were talking about Glossodoris rufomarginata during the break,

and just like magic, we found many of them on the next dive.

The individual in the photo was less than 1 cm.

I personally love this size — the colors are soft and very beautiful.

Recently, we are seeing more Doris spices .

We also found Elysia obtusa.

Usually, they are orange, but today’s one was translucent and very beautiful.

It was so easy to miss because of its color.

They often hide under rocks or in small gaps during the day, so finding one like this is always a bit lucky.

Just when we were about to finish the dive,

we found  Sagaminopteron psychedelicum at the very end!

Because of this, our second dive became a 70-minute long dive (haha).

This is one of the best parts of diving on weekdays in this season — we can take our time.

If you enjoy long dives or want to search for nudibranchs like this,

Nitrox is highly recommended.

We also offer Nitrox courses, including an online theory option, so feel free to contact us!

As a bonus, we were also shown a very cute Baby Giant frogfish by a local guide.

A small pink individual — very cute!

Recently, water temperature and visibility have been changing a lot,

but finally, the temperature has stabilized around 18°C.

March is almost over, and we are receiving more inquiries for April.

As the air temperature rises, the diving season is getting closer!

The ocean is still not crowded, so you can enjoy relaxed diving.

If you love macro life, Kushimoto is the place to be.

We look forward to diving with you!
