We held a dry suit diving course today!
The ocean in Kushimoto still had some leftover swell from last night’s storm. Conditions were a bit challenging, but we had a great session with a guest visiting from China.
Our Dry Suit Specialty course is very popular with international divers. Many of our certified students come from overseas.
For the first dive, we started at the beach. We practiced the basic operation of the dry suit, buoyancy control, and learned about the characteristics of the suit.
Today’s guest picked it up very quickly. We were impressed by how smoothly everything went.
On the second dive, we moved to a boat dive and applied what we practiced.
Even with some surge, we found many nudibranchs.
We spotted Verconia nivalis hiding between seaweed, skillfully staying stable despite the surge.
We also found Verconia sp. 1, which has been staying in the same area recently.

At the end, we practiced a 5-meter swim. Completing this in a dry suit for the first time is excellent—well done!
Although the conditions were not perfect, the guest successfully learned how to use a dry suit with confidence.
Our dry suit course is available in both English and Japanese.
Even beginners are welcome, so feel free to contact us!
