Small-Group Fun Diving in Kushimoto | Relaxed Drysuit Diving

Back to Drysuit Diving in Kushimoto!

It was a little cloudy this morning, but underwater visibility was great! ♪

We could see more than 15 meters, making it a wonderful day for fun diving!

Today's guest was diving in a drysuit for the first time in a while.

Our guest was a little nervous during the first dive, but handled the drysuit so well that I was actually surprised! (^^;)

At Aqua Vista Kushimoto, we keep our groups small, so you can enjoy diving at your own pace without feeling rushed, even if you haven't used a drysuit for a while.

Exploring Kushimoto's Amazing Macro Marine Life

Our guest usually enjoys snorkeling, so we focused on finding marine creatures that can be observed while scuba diving.

At the beginning of our first dive, we spotted Sagaminopteron psychedelicum.

I usually see this little creature crawling over rocky surfaces, but today it was moving between pieces of seaweed.

Maybe it had been swept away by the swell??

Our Nudibranch Safari has also started this month!!!

Would you like to join us and search for nudibranchs together?

We're looking forward to diving with you! (^^)

Sea temperatures in Kushimoto have been unusually warm this year, and we can still observe some fish laying eggs.

One example is Glass goby.

These fish are tiny, and so are their eggs. But if you look really closely, you can actually see the eyes developing inside the eggs!

It would be even better if I could capture both the parent and the eggs in the same photo!

During our second dive, we finally met Ribbon maray eel again after not seeing it for a while.

When we arrived, it was stretching its body out and targeting a Japanese shrimp goby.

Eventually, it gave up and returned to its usual position.

But for a moment, I got really excited thinking we might get to see it catch its prey! (^^)

Speaking of marine creatures we hadn't visited for a while, here's another one!

Warthead goby .

Its Japanese name might sound a little unfortunate, but its cute, rounded body makes it a popular subject among underwater macro photographers!
