Kushimoto Fun Diving | 20m Visibility, Schools of Fish & Rare Nudibranchs

Great Visibility! Water Temperature Is Still Around 25.6°C!

The visibility was great again today, just like yesterday♪

On our first dive of the morning, we were welcomed by a huge school of Silver striped round herrings!

With visibility reaching around 20 meters, we could clearly see the entire school moving together. It was an amazing sight!

Wide-angle diving is getting more exciting, and there is so much more to see underwater!

Watching Bonito and Rainbow runner chasing and attacking schools of Silver striped round herrings is so exciting that time flies by!

Lots of Active Gobies Today!

There was a gentle current throughout the day, and the gobies were very active! (^^)

We spotted Filament-finned prawn-goby hovering above the sand in many places.

The goby area was full of activity, and we really enjoyed exploring it!

Tiny Nudibranchs and Rare Species!

With calm sea conditions continuing, we're finding more and more nudibranchs!

First up is an incredibly tiny one.

Can you spot it in the photo? (^^;)

This is Samla bicolor, measuring less than 1 mm!

Thanks to the influence of the Kuroshio Current, we've been seeing a variety of subtropical species this year.

The Trapania naeva we found yesterday was still there today!

This one is about 3 cm long, so it's much easier to spot.

However, its food supply is almost gone...

Once the food runs out, I think it will move somewhere else. We might only have a few more days to see it here.

Another Interesting Nudibranch on Our Final Dive!

During our final dive, we also spotted Ceratodoris nakamotoensis!

You can distinguish it from Ceratodoris hiroi by the different colors at the tips of its cerata.

Ceratodoris nakamotoensis isn't very common, and it can sometimes be found right next to Ceratodoris hiroi.

Because they look similar, it's easy to swim right past without noticing! (^^;)

Next time you find Ceratodoris hiroi, take a closer look.

You might discover Ceratodoris nakamotoensis hiding among them!

We're already approaching late October, but the underwater conditions are fantastic♪

It's still possible to dive in a wetsuit, too!
