Another Beautiful Day Underwater with Almost No Swell♪
We had heavy rain from the morning today.
It was a day when the effects of the typhoon finally started showing in the weather.
However, the sea was still calm with very little swell, and the visibility was excellent♪
The water temperature was over 28°C, and visibility was around 20 meters.
The underwater conditions were absolutely fantastic!
Before the effects of a typhoon fully arrive, visibility often improves.
Today was exactly one of those days.
It felt a little chilly at the surface because of the rain, but underwater it was extremely comfortable.
We enjoyed a wide variety of marine life today, from macro subjects to wide-angle scenes♪
Today was also a day when we saw Green sea turtle quite often（＾＾）
With such good visibility, they looked even more graceful as they slowly swam through the clear blue water!!
For macro life, we looked for some of the juvenile fish that will become more common as we move into the coming season.
Recently, we have been seeing juvenile Mayer's dragonet about 1 cm in size quite often.
Watching them move around while opening and closing their tiny mouths is incredibly cute♪
The nudibranchs are also still living their normal lives.
Personally, I feel that when the number of nudibranchs starts to decrease, it can be a sign that the swell is getting stronger.
For me, nudibranchs are one of the ways I judge how strong the swell is.（笑）
Today, we found Eubranchus sp.10 walking along a rocky wall!!
Another fish becoming more active as the water temperature rises is Gobiodon quinquestrigatus.
They can be found around corals in several areas, and in some places we can even see individuals protecting their eggs.
I would love to photograph the parent together with the eggs, but it is quite difficult.
Hopefully I can get the shot during one of our survey dives（＾＾）
We were also worried about the young Warty frogfish.
Fortunately, it was still there safely today!!!
I really hope it makes it through this typhoon and stays with us for a long time.
The wind is forecast to become stronger from tomorrow onward, but it still looks like we may be able to dive once we get underwater!!
We will trust in the power of the Kuroshio offshore and head out diving again tomorrow.
The day after tomorrow may finally be a day when we have to close・・・（＾＾；）
We will keep checking the conditions carefully and enjoy diving with safety as our first priority.
September may once again be a month of dealing with typhoons, but we have gradually been receiving more inquiries for fun diving.
Right now, Kushimoto offers plenty to enjoy, from wide-angle scenery to macro life.
