New Tide Pool Discovery & Creative Photo Session in Kushimoto

  • Exploring a New Tide Pool Area

Today, we had a strong easterly wind throughout the day.
The swell from the typhoon has been gradually decreasing, but with the wind, the ocean still had some waves.

Since low tide was around noon, we headed to the tide pools.

After a quick check of our usual spot, we decided to explore a new area.

And surprisingly… there were so many tide pools!
We even found a pool where 4 to 5 Barred-chin blenny were gathered closely together.

Honestly, I wondered why we had never come here before.

This might be a great spot for Sunday.

Even though it was a tide pool, the strong wind created ripples on the surface, so we couldn’t capture a perfect mirror reflection.
Instead, we used those ripples creatively for photography.

The water surface formed unique patterns, and reflections of the seaweed below created a mysterious mosaic effect.

The colors and shapes kept changing moment by moment, making every shot one of a kind.

I wanted to stay longer and keep shooting, but we had plans in the afternoon, so we had to leave early.
I definitely want to come back for more exploration.

From tomorrow, it’s the weekend.
The forecast says there will be some swell from the east, but it doesn’t look too significant at the moment.

Tomorrow will be a full day of Nudibranch diving.
We’ll be enjoying four days packed with Nusibranch diving ahead!
