Why Dive Kushimoto?
Kushimoto is a hidden marine paradise located at the southern tip of the Kii Peninsula. It features a unique ecosystem where sub-tropical marine life thrives alongside temperate species.

- Japan’s Northernmost Coral Reefs: Swim through vibrant, world-registered table coral communities overflowing with colorful tropical fish.
- Warm Subtropical Waters: Warmed by the Kuroshio Current, our ocean remains highly clear and comfortable, hosting unexpected marine encounters.
- Perfect Contrast to the Mountains: After days of trekking the misty, spiritual trails of Kumano Kodo, washing off the sweat in the deep blue sea is the ultimate relaxation.
Easy Access: Perfectly Fits Your Travel Loop
You don't need to return all the way to Osaka just to see the ocean. Kushimoto is a natural next stop on your route from Kumano Kodo back to the city.

- From Kumano Kodo (Nachi/Kii-Katsuura): Just a scenic 60-minute coastal train ride via the JR Kinokuni Line.
- Back to Osaka (Shin-Osaka/Tennoji): Take the Limited Express "Kuroshio" directly back (approx. 4 hours). Features reclining seats and beautiful ocean views.
