Snorkeling Course & Fun Diving in Kushimoto | Frogfish Still Around!

Guests from the USA and Japan Enjoyed Kushimoto’s Ocean

Today was the first weekend after Japan’s Golden Week holidays.

We had a full day of activities with a morning snorkeling course, followed by fun diving and an Enriched Air (Nitrox) course in the afternoon.

In the morning, we went snorkeling with guests visiting from the United States.

It was everyone’s first time snorkeling, and they were such cheerful people. We could hear laughter from the surface the whole time, and it was great to see everyone enjoying the experience.

The water temperature was around 22°C, and conditions are becoming comfortable for wetsuit diving and snorkeling in Kushimoto.

One of the guests actually lives in Kushimoto Town and apparently has a connection with my child’s English teacher. It really reminded me how small the world can be!

We were very happy that everyone enjoyed their first snorkeling experience in Kushimoto.

At the end of the tour, we took a group photo together. This time, we are sharing it in a popular illustration-style version!

Fun Diving in Kushimoto | Visibility Improving

In the afternoon, we headed out for fun diving in Kushimoto.

Visibility has been improving recently, and the water temperature has also risen slightly to around 21–22°C.

One of today’s goals was to search again for Fowlerichthys scriptissimus.

We couldn’t find it the last time we looked, so today was our revenge challenge dive!

Although it had moved quite far from its previous location, we successfully found it again. Hopefully it stays around a little longer.

Breeding and Nesting Season Has Started

Right now, Kushimoto’s underwater world is entering the peak breeding and nesting season.

Today, we also found a nesting site of Meiacanthus kamoharai.

Many fish, including Chromis albicauda and Anemone fish, have started breeding and protecting their eggs.

For divers who want to spend more time underwater and enjoy underwater photography, Nitrox diving is highly recommended. We also offer Nitrox courses in Kushimoto throughout the season.

Best Season for Relaxed Diving in Kushimoto

Late May through June is one of the best times to enjoy relaxed diving in Kushimoto because the ocean is generally less crowded.

We welcome fun divers, beginner divers, snorkeling guests, and divers interested in training courses.
