Calm Conditions and Fun Diving in the Sue Area

Finally Got to See the Creature I Had Been Dreaming Of!!

What a difference from yesterday — the ocean became incredibly calm today!

We enjoyed another day of fun diving in the Sue area. The water temperature was still quite chilly, but with the warm weather on land, the dives felt very comfortable.

(Of course, we were diving in dry suits! Haha.)

Today was a very special day for me because I finally got to see Plesionika narval after wanting to see them for many years.

It was an amazing sight that I had dreamed of seeing for a long time. Even after 13 years of diving in Kushimoto, this was my very first time seeing them, and I was honestly so excited!!

The number of shrimp had apparently decreased a little because of the rough sea conditions over the past few days, but the scene was still absolutely impressive.

It’s truly a seasonal spectacle that can only be seen for a limited time.

Around Enperior angelfish, we also found many Plesionika narval together. It created a unique underwater scene that can only be observed during this season.

In deeper water, we even found a fascinating combination of Spiny lobsteer and Plesionika narval together.

Honestly, the Plesionika narval alone were enough to enjoy an entire dive!

For the second dive, our guest requested Japanese bullhead shark, and we successfully found four individuals — mission complete!

To finish the day, we were also lucky to find two Giant frogfish, which made our guest very happy. The way the two fish stayed close together looked almost like they were having a conversation underwater.

From the long-awaited Plesionika narval to the requested Japanese bullhead shark, it was such a fun and memorable day underwater.

Golden Week is almost over, and tomorrow we will be diving in the Kushimoto area again!

After the holiday season, the ocean becomes much quieter, making it a perfect time to enjoy relaxed fun dives in Kushimoto.

And the annual big event, the “Kushimoto Diving Festival,” is coming very soon!

We welcome inquiries about the festival and fun diving anytime, so please feel free to contact us.

See you then! 🤿
